All about journeys'

Time to reflect on life and how to continue the journey. Walk with a beat, listen to the song in your heart, smell the flowers and aromas of spices, herbs, and good food. Stand in the rain and jump into the water, take a hot spa soak. Feel arms around you and kissses on your lips. What a way to experience a little bit of the path. Can you tell me some more?

Silhouetts at dusk.

Silhouetts at dusk.

I was riding around this week on back roads in our truck with my husband, Tom, and the sun was just creeping out of sight, like a hawk staring down its prey. We parked and listened to the sounds of whispering air surround our solitary moment. Gently the descent of the sun left us and the slow, secretive, duskiness surrounded the area. I suddenly realized it was like a magic trick, now we were embraced with a sense of foreboding. After gathering my senses I looked up on the highest point and saw a herd of deer. They were silhoueted against the gloomy sky.
How beautiful to view these creatures as though they were cutouts from black construction paper. It made me think how fragile we all are. Our forms of life walk through many dusky, blurry circumstances which leave us blowing like thin paper. The stillness of the evening continued with its business and the deer just watched. I thought for an instant who is the spectator. They were vigilant and never hesitated.

I think Music is Spirit

I heard a song tonight and in it they sang
"There is a Spirit bringing people together and music is the key"
Which led me to the Doobie Brothers, so this is why I put the lyrics in my blog tonight.  I think while we discover our Spirit, music will be one of our guides along our journey.  It captures our essence and helps us discover many feelings.  Memories are captured in songs and never forgotten.  We  express ourselves by swaying, moving, and dancing.  The rhythms and sound become part of our soul and this frees our inner stigmas.  When you hear music people change and listen they become as one with each note and voice.  Maybe we should just sing everyday and not talk would it make a difference?

Listen To The Music
Words and Music by
Tom Johnston
Don’t you feel it growin’ day by day,
people gettin’ ready for the news.

Some are happy, some are sad

Oh, we got to let the music play.

What the people need is a way to make ‘em smile,
it ain’t so hard to do if you know how.

Gotta get a message, get it on through,

Oh, now mama’s go ‘n’ to after ‘while.

Oh, oh, listen to the music,
oh, oh, listen to the music,

oh, oh listen to the music, all the time.

Well, I know you know better, everything I say,
meet me in the country for a day.

We’ll be happy and we’ll dance,

Oh, we're gonna dance our blues away.

And if I’m feelin’ good to you
and you’re feelin’ good to me

there ain’t nothin’ we can't do or say.

Feelin’ good, feeling fine, Oh, baby, let the music play.

Oh, oh, listen to the music,
oh, oh, listen to the music,

oh, oh listen to the music, all the time.

Like a lazy flowing river surrounding castles in the sky.
And the crowd is growing bigger,

list’nin’ for the happy sounds and I got to let them fly.

Oh, oh, listen to the music,
oh, oh, listen to the music,

oh, oh listen to the music, all the time

Finding Spirit

Time keeps on slipping, slipping, slipping, into the future.
I want to fly like an eagle
to the sea
fly like an eagle
let my spirit carry me
I want to fly like an eagle
till I'm free

In order to find ones Spirit I think you have to find the people in your life that are missing.  You should first find part of your connections and threads which help to mend your Spirit by weaving the many unique qualities and lessons you have gained by knowing these people.
I started by looking for classmates, family members, history of family blood lines, friends, companions, lovers, work mates,  or just people who were there at times I needed this touch stone in order to continue my growth.  There is always a reason someone is put into your life if just briefly or longer.  Try to make a list and take into account everyone who entered your realm.  It may even just be an encounter with a homeless person on the street who you engaged in conversation, or a teacher, just really try to recall all the Spirits that surrounded you in times of grief, happiness, joy, sadness, promotions, let downs, disappointments, expectations, and all experiences of exchanges.  It may even help to express yourself by drawing, photography, scrap booking, cutting out pictures, pottery, any expressive type arts/crafts,  or finding music to associate these memories.
This creative process should help in uncovering some of the gifts we have received along this journey.  The bonds we developed and rejections will open up questions and answers will begin to appear.  This will be part of what has contributed to our core spirit.
I am going to let these few words open up some ideas and then I will write in my blog tomorrow.  Take what you think will help and please share some of these stories with me if you need a listening ear.

The search continues:

Well, it is 1st day of November.  I have been searching and realized that we need more festivals, fun, and freedoms.  So much is being put onto us with rules, regulations, fears, peoples opinions and what someone says about someone.  There is much to much texting, reading into ones hand, and not spending time with a person one on one.  It is so easy to tell a person anything you want and to accuse when you just flip an enter button.  I had a dream last night and I feel I have a life within that dream I know people in it and go places.  This must be a way into my spirit world now I have two lives.  Do not know if this anykind of out of body travels or another life (who knows)?  But it is neat kind of thing.  Anyone out there have any experiences similar to this?  I had a lot of good thoughts but instead of writing them down now they are lost in time.

A beginning

This is my first blog.  I am interested in exploring my thoughts, expectations, creativity, and anything else that pertains to some kind of intelligent discussion worthy of noting.  This may help me to realize who I am in relation to where I belong in this strange world with earthlings.  For one, I intend to start taking more pictures, and painting even trying to find ways to fulfill my creative nature.  Pottery is so down to the earth, getting ones hands into the forming of a shape and design out of particles of dirt shows how insignificant we all are.  Anyway just a thought.  I feel people put too much significance into drama, useless drama.  I would like to hear some feed back on this subject.
